Vogue

Vogue
Dictionary day again.  Merril’s finger fell on the word “vogue” this morning.  It really means current.  All the rage. 
It does seem weird to me that I am seeing stuff that was in vogue in the late 60’s in vogue again. (I am thinking of fashion).   I don’t know though that people want to hold on to something for 50 years knowing what goes around comes around.
I must admit vogue is not something I have been into.  When I am it is more by chance than design.
I see houses that are dated.  Like, “that is so 80’s.”  It makes me think that anything I build will be neutral so it is always in vogue.  Like I had a new kitchen built in a place a while back.  I do not think it matters when it is looked at, the colours are always in vogue and what is current can be added with accessories.
But that is just me.  It is not a law thing but an individual preference thing.  Some are right into the latest and that is ok as far as I am concerned, and some are like me, and I think that is ok too.
Any problem I do have relates to thoughts and ideas that may be in vogue but are contrary to what his known to be true.  Thoughts that are promoted without trial.  The acceptance of which lead to my discontent rather than content.
I did look up vogue online and had more success when I looked up the meaning of the word.  Before I went to meaning I was taken to Vogue magazine.
I did find it interesting to see what other questions were asked concerning vogue though.  Another word is seen as “fad.”  I can “dig” that.  Ok “dig” was in vogue at one time.  Over 50 years ago.
One of the questions asked was “Is vogue a word?”  All I can say is it better be as I have been using it like it was.  I guess being in the dictionary is a good sign.
That reminds me though. “If something is spelled incorrectly in the dictionary, how does anyone know?”
Anyway, vogue has come and gone.
