Why Not?

We are not frivolous people.  We are constantly thinking about the big issues.  Like what the latest is.  “Farmer wants a wife.”  We look at the ads for that and think.  “Why just Farmer?  There are many other occupations containing people that seek a partner.”
The show must be successful (I have never seen it) so why has there not been spin off series like “Accountant wants a wife” or perhaps “Barber wants a wife.”
And we ask ourselves “why is it just a guy looking for a girl?”  Particularly in this day and age should there not be series like, “Mathematician wants a husband” or “HR business owner wants a husband.”  Really there are heaps of options.
It would seem that viewers are happy when love is found.  This applies is life across a broad spectrum of occupations. 
There would be many going about their work in their own quiet way wanting an opportunity to find love.  Those wondering what they need to do to find someone to share their life with.  Those that have tried the pub or concert scenes and decided it really is not them.
This could spawn follow up series or one-off specials asking, “Where are they now?”  There could be an initial reminder of their success or otherwise in the original series and what transpired in the intervening years.
Of course if the contestant were now dead that would be hard.  Gettig interviews in those situations is not easy.  But any reporter worth their salt is after a scoop.  They could wait outside the house for some video footage.  It would probably be best if they took a book as they could be waiting a while.
But if they got the footage they would be catapulted into instant stardom.  They would probably become the darling of the talk show circuit.  Mention would probably even be made of the book on Popular Mechanics they were reading at the time.  Before going to ads reference would be made to how they liked to tinker in the shed in their down time.  Perhaps even the person in the shed would be shown.
It seems the opportunities are endless.  It’s a no brainer.
