Which Way Will It Go?

Merril has relapsed.  She has a cold back.  She had it two weeks ago and had to lay low for a few days.  I actually know the exact time this one came on.  I heard her sneeze.  Merril has the sort of sneeze I imagine people in South America hear and look up and say, “what was that?”
You can imagine the effect this is having on me!  Normally Merril cooks but…actually that happened.  Normally she does washing but..come to think of it that happened too.  Well it really could be devastating for me.  I am not asking for a bell at the moment.  All I want is to be able to summons her and she comes running.  Seems perfectly reasonable to me.  But I do not have high hopes on that one.  She knocks me back when she is well, and I cannot imagine that changing.
The thing is, the last time she had a cold I was all good.  Others were going down like flies with it, but I remained untouched.  Today I woke up feeling weird.  Ok maybe my feeings were just matching my personality.  But this was different.  I am hoping nothing comes of it, but I will lay low this morning and see what happens.
I did have one thing planned this morning I have put off.  We have a big afternoon planned.  We are going to do the cleaning we normally do of a Saturday as we have another activity this Saturday.  The last time this happened to Merril she directed.  I do not think two directors would work.  Besides when one is out of action, we take up the slack.  Two would be harder.
We are going to a jumble sale tomorrow.  We hope a lot of stuff sells.  The weather is predicted to be iffy, so I hope that does not cause people to not come.  This arvo we are taking a few things to sell plus some other stuff we are to collect and take.
Merril has gone back to bed, and I am sitting here feeling weird.  I will feed the birds, but they should count themselves lucky.  It is a bit wet but not wet enough to curtail feeding them.  I do not mind these birds.  They are “fly in, fly out” ones.  Once fed they get on with their lives and we get on with ours.
So this morning I am going to take it easy.  I am hoping this is a false alarm.  Best I be prepared though.  As little movement as possible should do it.
