What's In Mind

Day off today.  I really do look forward to it.  Merril is having the carpets cleaned at her dad’s place.  I am staying home and have the shed we call “mini me” in mind to clean out.
I do have a mind to work on this.  There is heaps of other stuff to do, but this is necessary to achieve the whole as far as I am concerned.  The goal is to go right around the place tidying up and disposing of stuff that we have kept in the belief that one day it could be useful.  We have come to the conclusion that for sure it could be useful, but not to us.  It is a big job but sort of a fun one as we are seeing what we have, and so often it is like “oh there is that thing.”  We knew we had it but did not know where.  I am hoping things will be very different and we will have a lot less stuff and more appropriate places to store it.
First I will need to grab some things we used yesterday from Merril’s car.  We went to Containers for Cash” and put through some cans and bottles.  It was not as much as usual but it was our second visit for the month so really on a monthly basis we has a record collection. 
It was an incredible co-incidence to me that up until yesterday we had collected exactly the same amount as for the period in the last financial year.  Down to the cent.  Yesterday’s input put us in front for the year.  $46.30 in front.  It is an unstated aim of mine to increase the collection each year.  We are in our third year now and so far so good.
I am a figures man and part of the pleasure I get out of keeping figures is to see trends.  I know that when I know I can do something about it if I feel to.
I also keep a record of attendance to a get together I have of a Tuesday night.  I am wanting it to prove to be so popular it needs to partition.  Numbers have plummeted.  Hmmmm.
Anyway, today is clean out and reconfigure “mini me” day.  I imagine I will work while it is not too hot and go back to it later in the day when it cools down a little.  But best laid plans...
