What a Day Brings

Well that was different.  I was looking for my phone and then I realized it was on my arm.
I have it strapped there like the runners do.  Not everyone knows that it is the phone at first.  They ask what is that thing on my arm.  I have originally said life support but told them what it really is (and thanks Wayne for the thought that maybe I should have it strapped to my ankle but I give that a miss.)
But really today was a bit like that.  I had a doctor’s appointment.  Last time he was an hour late.  I thought “I know this time I will take my ear phones and listen to music.”  All good.  I had my earphones.  But I forgot my phone with all my music on.  So I sat.  He was only about half an hour late this time.
Someone I did see though I knew from table tennis.  I told them about the email I got from their number one player.  We played their team the night before and lost 6/5.  This fella emailed me and said “we had a hard 6/5 win last night.  How’d your team go?”
Mumble, mumble.  I told him their time would come.  But I congratulated him on the win.  I was glad for the email.  I had a good laugh at his comment.  So did Merril when I told her.
It was good to catch up with the people from table tennis.  We have not been up there of late.  As soon as I arrived I was asked did I want to fill in as a couple had not arrived.   Then a guy asked if I wanted to be on their team.  So I am committed to that for the next six weeks or so.
I enjoy the company and the game - so even though I regularly loose it is win win.
