Merril and I did our usual thing this morning.  We went to the table tennis club and hoped people would turn up.  Us opening on this morning is a new thing.  So far so good really.  Merril has done some letter box dropping, while someone else has handed out brochures and there has been advertising.  We have a new family coming regularly.  It is also open to our club members and anyone else.  People are coming.
We have sort of established a tradition.  We get subway and eat it up there.  This morning I reckon the attendant was running really late.  The place was not set up and everything was still inside.  Even the oven that toasts the bread had to be warmed up.
I did not even know if the place was open.  I established it was, because a guy way more assertive then me opened the door.  I ordered the usual, and was hit by a banner and shut it in the fridge door as I was getting iced coffee.  There was a question I was dying to ask the attendant, but decided against it, as they seemed more like someone who had to be there, rather than wanted to be there.
The question had to do with a sign I saw on the wall. “Best Mystery Shop 2018.”  I am all for awards, but I did wonder what the mystery was.  I was really hoping it was not the food.  “You ask for this but what you end up with who knows.  It’s a mystery.”  In the end I knew it was not the food, as we got what we ordered.
There was no more real drama on the way, except the truck bearing down on us from behind.  We were between a rock and a hard place though.  I really did not know buses could go so slow.  There was one in front of us.  I think they must have been ahead of schedule and taking their time.  Thankfully they pulled over to collect a passenger, and the truck went a different way to us.
We went to our table tennis cub.  The place ended up rocking.  The Moreton Bay Regional Council put on a free table tennis clinic.  There were heaps of parents and kids.
We must be getting old though, because all we wanted to do after it was have a sleep.  That was hardly surprising though with Merril having walked about 15 kms yesterday and me having, well, ummm, just having.
We seem to be establishing another tradition as well, and that is to have lunch at the Australia Shop at Burpengary on the way home.  We were zombie like at that point though.  We did try to look normal.  For me that can be really counter-productive.
In the end Merril did some food shopping and I waited by the car.  I must have been tired though, because I was totally engrossed with a family of crows, that arrived and took shelter in the cark park shade cloth.  I so wondered why one crow walked along a support and jumped on another and came back and repeated the process.  No doubt he has forgotten it, and I think I should too.
