Volley balls

“To blow up volley balls” was the reason someone gave me, tongue in cheek, as the meaning of, or purpose in life.  It did not take me long to realize there is probably more to it than that.  This morning I had a song I had heard yesterday in my head. I was sure I had the words wrong though.  Somehow “may my right arm sing to you” did not seem right.  A little while later I remembered it said, “may my life song sing to you.”  I knew I was on a winner with that one.
I guess that has gotten me thinking the way I am this morning.  That along with the fact I have something on tonight and guys gather here and someone after eating says something.  I did write somewhere and ask if there was someone who wanted to say something.  They acknowledged receipt of the email, but that was it.  So it is up to me to say something and I spent a number of hours yesterday preparing.
It is so not my intention to talk about something like the intricacies of stamp collecting.  I enjoy doing that and I know others do to.  But to me the things I love must be subservient to purpose or meaning.  I try to make it everything I do is governed by first principles.
It really does amaze me that so often the thinking is, “don’t think about such things.  Maybe later (though there seems to be there is never a right time), but not now.  Or there is a tolerance of seeking a multitude of ways but do not go near something based on the sayings of one who claimed to be the only way.
For me that is back to front.  I am one who wants to dismiss those claims first.  That leaves me free to pursue other claims if I find the ones I investigated to be misleading or deceptive.
What I do find amazing is that the ideas of those who adhere to “the way” are seen to be dangerous to society.  Yet it is those same ones who have done so much good for so many.
I am not thinking of those who have done things “in the name of something.”  A cursory look reveals that person is claiming something as their authority to act, but their actions show what they represent is a misrepresentation.
I actually know of nothing else that espouses treating others well in such a selfless way.  To me, thankfully, there are those that treat others well, but so often the motivation is a finite act in an infinite world.
What I do like is, that whether a price or pauper all matter and all have significance.  I am sus of “special” knowledge and claims some make that they have a cosy relationship with someone to the exclusion of others.  I am interested in something that includes everyone.  It may not mean that everyone embraces it, but it is available to everyone always in every corner of the world.
Anyway it is early.  I have had a coffee and do not have another until later in the morning.  I know I get heart palpitations when I do.  That is something I have found out through trial and error.  I want to be around a while.  That helps.
