Visits

I am glad my brother rang.  Merril and I had forgotten all about it.  He lives on the sunshine coast and we had arranged several weeks ago to have lunch with him.  I had arranged several other activities and Merril had something arranged but they were all postponed.
It would have helped if we had recorded the arrangement somewhere, but we had not.  Any way tomorrow (which is today) will be doing something at home then heading up the coast.
It will be good to see Richard.  It always is.  He is an older brother by about 10 years.  He still loves his golf and plays several times a week.  I have golf clubs here, but I do not see myself playing again for a while - if ever.  I have maintained interest in the game but nothing like it used to be or like that of Richard.
At one stage I was keen enough to be with the first on the tee and hitting off and no one seeing where the ball went so we waited for more light.
I used to play a bit of golf with dad.  He was real good.  I do though remember the first time I ever beat him.  He had forgotten his glasses.  That was probably an unfair advantage for me, but I will take what I can get.
We will visit a shop we both enjoy going to while up the coast.  It is a dangerous place though.  We always end up buying stuff we had no intention of buying.  In fact, I do not have anything in mind to purchase but I reckon I will purchase an item or four.  Still I guess worse things could happen.
After that we will text Richard to say we are there.  We have had lunch together at one of the surf life-saving clubs before, and I reckon there is a good chance we will do it again.
That evening there is the final of our grade in table tennis, we may go along to support.  We always buy diner out on a Monday night.
We did not make the final but I would have liked to for the second in my team.  But my game has not been consistent enough of late.
Maybe I need to take up golf again.  I have only ever played competition golf once and that was when I was a kid.  It was on Magnetic Island and that was the fist time I ever played on sand greens.  I actually won my division, but it was like every kid wins a prize.  But they forgot a prize for my division.
If I was still playing golf, I would be able to discuss every shot on every hole like my brother can.  But he is gracious.  We talk about many things.  I had better go and get my sleep.  I would say beauty sleep, but it is probably too late for that.  Shop and brother.  We always enjoy both.
