Vegging 101

Here I am home alone again.  Just watching tv and vegging.  Just a minute.  What a life!
Merril has gone to work on her home again.  She hopes to paint edges, lift off vinal, and get a new pump for the tank.  I could be helping her of course but are you kidding!  You think I am out of my mind?! (please don’t answer that).  All when I could be here…ummm….watching tv and vegging?
Tomorrow is my day.  I have committed at least one day a week to it.  Tomorrow is that day.  Later in the week I will be there too, shifting stuff in preparation for the photo’s.  The end is nigh.  Of the house selling that is.  What we ideally want is someone to say now I want the house and will pay what you want for it.  It will be bitter-sweet but until it is sold, we are doing bits and pieces.
I expect her back home by mid-afternoon.  Tonight, her show is on.  Merril has indicated there is one night a week she wants to watch a particular show.  I have tried to sit and watch it to.  Honest.  I just do not get as excited about it.  I have watched it though.
Still it beats “Say yes to the dress.”  I have seen that and admittedly avoid it like the plague. It has though fostered some “moments” at our place.  Merril was off somewhere and I leant in the window and said “are you saying yes to ……”  She said yes and that drew a round of applause from me.
I read something recently where a person said they could not veg 24/7.  My question is why not?  I hate quitting, and would prefer to prove for myself it is just not possible.  In the meantime, I am happy to give it a go.  Or as I just heard on Gardening Australia “give it a grow.”  That has nothing to do with anything really, but it seemed as good a time as any to say it.
Anyway, as much as I would like to, I cannot loiter.  I have things to do.  Even though I have only one thing to do on my “to do” list.  I will be glad when I can cross “sit on the back chair and look out” off the list but until it is done I cannot.  I have not put any time frame on that, but I reckon it will take several hours.
They reckon the hardest part of anything is getting started, so I would do well to make a start.
