Unwell

What a difference a day makes.  I had a good sleep and this morning I feel better.
Last night was a different story though.  Normally I play table tennis.  I enjoy it.  Merril often goes with me and chats to those she sees.  I do the same between generally making others feel good with a win.
Going to the club was the plan.  During the day I experienced headache like symptoms which would come and go.  I did think that was strange as generally the only time I get headaches is due to eye strain.  I sometimes get them after a day working outside.  They are rare though.
I had things to do during the day and I was not impeded in anyway doing them.  But in the afternoon, I knew I was not well.  I will not go into the gory details, but I did not feel up to anything.
I did tell Merril about it.  I suggested (to no avail) that a bell might help if she was out of the room and I needed her.  That idea went no-where.
I use the word weird a lot.  But yesterday was definitely a weird day.  I generally go to bed early but not at 7.30.  I did last night.  I was cactus.  I did not feel like eating but I did feel like sleeping.  What amazes me is how well I slept.  If I go to bed early, I generally do not sleep all that long.  Last night I must have needed it.  I slept very well.  There were shows on tv I was looking forward to seeing.  I missed the lot.  Thankfully there is iview.
I thought it may be a 24 hour bug and that turned out to be the case.  I feel good this morning.  That though is a double-edged sword.  The plasterer has finished in our shed and it is time to paint.  I am definitely not been looking forward to that.  It has been suggested to me that I could run some sort of competition with the prizes being a mystery that turns out to be painting.  That was attractive but I could not in good conscience do it.
What I experienced was not life threatening and compared to some it was minor.  There are those that I am sure would be happy if that was all they experienced.  But for me at the time it was not pleasant.  It was definitely something I would have rather not gone through.  Besides I lost the opportunity to help my team lose.
Thankfully these things pass.  Today is a new day.  Full of opportunities and promise.  I have the opportunity to go back to bed with the promise of continued rest.  Maybe that is avoiding the painting though.  Oh well.
