Under Cover

I can be all ra ra and go get em, but faced with a choice I choose to be an undercover agent.  Or should I say an under the cover’s agent.
That is a bit the way I was yesterday.  I had all these plans, but it was raining.  And it was windy.  And it was cold.  As I heard in Hagar the Horrible never put off to tomorrow what you can do today.  That was perfect.  I was going to spend tomorrow quietly so I chose to do that instead.
Oh I did the usual with Merril, and was where I needed to be early.  That in itself was a bit different to usual.  A young fella had left his cloths in a bag, and a skateboard outside where we were.  I saw him return from what appeared to be the shops.  He collected his stuff and went on his way.  That has not happened before.
We did had have a fella known to a mutual friend turn up for a cuppa before.  We obliged him and had a chat.  But that sort of thing had not happened in ages.
It really does seem things are changing.  Our church has a food pantry where items can be gotten cheaper than usual.  I am seeing people go to there who are in cars that would not suggest they are in trouble.  But a quick chat shows that current conditions have forced them over a threshold.
So we did what we normally do and came home.  The rain came and went but mostly came.  It seemed a perfect day for observing it from under the covers.  So that is what we did.
Merril then went out and did some banking, while I worked on spreadsheets and made a few phone calls.
In the evening we went up and observed the table tennis and saw some mates of ours, bought some dinner, watched tele and when to bed.
Not a day that is likely to stand out in the memory, but an everyday day and a goodie.  Today has dawned rainy again.  It will be interesting to see what gets done today.
