Twice the Win

I reckon I am footballed out for a few days.  It is not often I watch both the NRL and AFL.  I guess it is even less often that it is good news for both teams.  Both the Brisbane teams made the final.  I know for some that matters, and for others it is “I didn’t know that and I am not sure I really care.”
I would like Brisbane to win the finals in both codes but if they do not I do not anticipate losing any sleep.  I was actually quiet glad we were featuring in finals, as it was a good way to spend the evening.
It mattered to me to find things to do to game time.  Merril and I had gone to a lunch a guy puts on for anyone who wants it.  A number of people turned out and availed themselves of what was a beautiful meal of chicken, sausages, salad and bread, followed by ice cream and fruit salad.  I really enjoyed the company of those there.
It was great but Merril had put her back out so we left a little earlier than we might have.  I have seen backs put out before and this could have been way worse but it did restrict her movements.  She is ok and getting better quickly.
We went home and had a kip.  After that we wanted to check that all was set up for church today following the lunch.  I did my usual thing of setting up and blowing out while Merril managed to spot mop and do a few other needful things.  We left and all was good.
We had Chinese food from the night before.  We find that the Chinese takeaway is always good for a couple of meals for us.  That was heated up and we both got good seats to watch the footy.
It was a good day.  Maybe nothing much out of the ordinary, but it is not often both Brisbane teams are playing on the same night in the same city for a place for the final.  Even less often would both teams have a win.  A good way to end the day.
