Trouble

There is no doubt I am a sucker for words in a song.  I was listening before to one by a person called Jamie Grace called beautiful day.  It had words that I thought were really good when it said “When trouble seems to rain on my dreams, It's not a big, not a big deal, Let it wash all the bugs off my windshield”
I like that because so often I can see trouble as something devoid of benefit, yet nothing could be further from the truth.  I am one who if I have “cruise” on the left and “trouble” on the right will pick “cruise” every time.
Yet I hate to admit it “trouble” tends to do me more good.  Today I just could not seem to do a thing right.  It was hard.  It was something I would prefer did not happen.  But it did.  The other day too it was like I was pushing water up hill.  Pushing water downhill is always easier.
Yet I know I am stronger for trouble.  Nothing shows what I am made of more than trouble.  It is easy to be nice and good when it is easy.  It is much harder to be that way when my tendency might be to explode.
What I liked about the words I heard were “let it wash the bugs off my windshield.”  Whether I want to admit it or not, there are things in my life that need dealing with.  They may or may not be big things, but the small things can be a real problem.  I may get angry unreasonably or seek my own way at the expense of others.  A lot of small things add up to a big thing.
This really is a country of drought and flooding rain.  Needing to use the windscreen wipers lately has been great.  Though today I was driving a car and I was not familiar with the back wipers.  I used them, but I did not know how to use the water.  The clean was not the same really. 
There were no bugs on my front windscreen, but if there had been the water and wipers would have dealt with them.  And the thing about a windscreen is, it allows me to see clearly.  Bugs obscure my vision.
