Well here is 11.30am and I am just posting now.
Since last posting we have visited the caves near Rockhampton and stayed in Rockhampton and Gin Gin.
The reason I am posting late is we were given the wifi code in Gin Gin and it would never connect.  We made our way for Brisbane the next day (today).
So we left before light and had a coffee in the next town we arrived in (Childers I think it was).  We really felt revived at that point.  We decided that Gympie would be the next town we stopped at.  It was great how from Gympie was a double laned highway.  The traffic had increased big time, but it really flowed.
It really does seem to be a small world.  In Gin Gin we went for a walk along the main street.  We stopped in at a gift shop.  The attendants were friendly.  I reminded them that a sign had said they were the friendliest people around.  They said that was 2002 and it may have changed.  If it had I could not tell.
One of the attendants said they were from Caboolture and had worked in the shop opposite our church on Station Road in Burpengary.  They also said they knew a Vicky.  It turned out it was a Vicky well known to us who is the wife of someone I have played a lot of table tennis with.  Both are good friends of ours and we have visited them at their property where they now live at D’Aguilar.  She has been there too.  I asked could I take a picture of her, and I will let Vicky know.
That was weird after meeting the guy at the motel in Townsville who had worked for the same company my dad had worked at in Maryborough.  The company has been absorbed into other companies and no longer exists as a separate entity.
We have had a great trip but were ready for home.
