Tools

I was in the “studio” before.  Calling it that definitely helps us identify it.  That is important because we have three sheds.  One is simply called “The Shed.”  That is the one we have just had insulated and plastered.  We may be tough but not too tough for air conditioning.  It is the biggy and we do lots of stuff there.  We have a table for meeting at, a spa, a drinks station, library, musical instruments and a table tennis table.  We have just installed a place on the wall that houses a tv aerial.  We have watched state of origin, football test matches and the like in our lounge.  Now we will be able to spread out more and watch in the shed.  We will hang a picture over the box for the aerial and no one will ever know it is there.  Besides, that is the table tennis area and tv’s and running into walls do not go together.
Another shed we identify as “mini me.”  It houses all our garden stuff.  Dad, Stuart, and I built the framework and Merril and I did the rest.  A friend of a neighbour installed the cement floor.  The pots are not there.  They are elsewhere.  I do not want them there as I have a thing about snakes.  I was on the ground and emptied a pot and a snake was there and took off.  Fortunately, he headed away from me and not towards me.
The final shed was the one I have been in today.  We call it the studio as it houses Merrils art stuff but I was there as it houses other stuff to.  Tools.  The studio is about a third.  The rest is for tools.  There is all sorts of stuff there, and as long as I keep my mouth shut no-one will know I do not know what some of it is for.  Someone can look and say “you gotta _____.”  I reckon as long as all I say is “yeah,” they will not know it is news to me.
The reason we got a lot of tools is we have Merril and mine and some of dads and Stuarts plus others we have picked up along the way.  Dad was right into carpentry.  We have a special section down the back for tools we call “Titanic tools.”  They are big.
I was in there looking for picture hooks.  I knew we had some but when I amalgamated them I did not know we had so many.  They will do the job when it comes time to hang pictures on the new wall in the “shed.”
Indooroopilly may have its Audi’s and Mercedes.  Burpengary has its sheds.  We have done our part.
