There is no doubt we are creatures of habit.  Today was our first day off for opening the table tennis hall.  So what did we do?  We went and got a subway breaky as we always do.  We took it with us and ate it out as we always do.  Then we went and did stuff till noon like we always do.
As Merril has recently sold her home there was stuff that had been brought to my rental.  Our intention was to get it looking like a used room even though the furniture was in a room that is not used.  It meant we spent some time moving stuff and setting things up.  It all went as planned except we did not have the bolts for the bed, so we could not put it together.  It is all in position and looks like a bed, but it is not set up as per normal.
There were also other things that needed doing which were done.  We blower vaced around the place and I did the mowing while Merril poisoned some very persistent weeds.  Hopefully that deals with them.  Nothing else has worked.  Sure, the place looks good for a while when the weeds have been dealt with, but they come back.  It does not seem to matter if they are pulled out by the roots either.  There are others waiting in the wings.
We then went to Office Works, as I wanted dividers and glue for a project I have been working on.  It is a finance thing, and I seem to get off on numbers, so I volunteered to do it.  Me being me though I was not content to investigate only the time we have been doing it, but I went back to the start of the financial year.  It has been a real learning curve and an education.  Maybe I am slower than I was, but it has taken days.  Then again maybe I am a bit of a perfectionist too, and I have done things that in the mind of many may not have been needed.  I sure don’t regret doing them though, as it has given me a good picture.
We got what was needed and came home.  It was then I discovered the folder I had chosen was four ring and not two.  I did a trick Merril had told me about that I had not thought of doing.  I cut off the two end rings to make it a two-ring binder.  The trouble was those two end rings were not going to come off easily.  I used tin snips for it.  One side came off fairly easily.  The other side caused all sorts of problems.  I could not understand it.  It was the same metal.  It had the same thickness.  It should have come away the same.  But no.  What was supposed to have been a two-minute job had me sitting down and looking at the problem from all different angles.
Eventually I had a win, but it was not as energy efficient as I would have liked.  I populated the folder, and all is in readiness - I think.
That brings us to now.  It really is as far as I can go as I cannot write about what is in the future as I have not been there yet.  It may be very different to our plans.  I know we need milk but apart from that, everything else can be done another day.  Good chance it will to.
