To Be or Not To Be

I try to do what works for me.  I regard Thursday as a day off, and never make appointments for that day.  However sometimes a specialist only has a spot available of a Thursday.  I tend to take them as it does not pay to muck a specialist around if it can be helped.  They as so often hard to get into see, or appointments are available only way down the track.  That being said though, I normally try to have one day free of commitments.
What I try to do at other times is make appointments in blocks to leave other blocks free to either do nothing or free to make other commitments as they come up.
There are those that think, “your retired, why commit like you do?”  Although there are times when I like to just vege and do my own thing, I feel I want to be doing stuff.  Retirement to me is not a, “do nothing” thing but a “do what I would like to do” thing.
Probably of all the days I do things yesterday is the biggy.  I have a couple of commitments on that day and need to spend time preparing for them.  So in a sense it is the day I feel is most demanding.  I reckon I felt it yesterday.  When it was all over, I commented to Merril that I was suddenly tired and had not felt it until it was over.
One of the things I do is run a zoom meeting.  It is incredible the wonders of technology.  Yesterday there were three of us involved.  What amazes me was that one was in Sydney, another in North Brisbane and me in Burpengary.
What got me too was the one in Sydney had “been there, done that” as far as zoom was concerned and was able to share stuff in note form and visit a site mentioned by a participant that was in you tube.  All this without missing a beat.  It was a pleasant change to have someone who knew what they were doing.  I lead but often it is like the blind leading the blind.  They informed me they had done plenty of study and zoom was a tool used.
It was weird.  The regular computer I use would not connect so I ended up using another one that worked. It was also great being able to phone the participants and ensure set up was going ok at the start.
I told one participant of my troubles, and their comment was. “don’t you love technology?”  The answer is “yes I do,” but I know if it goes wrong, it can go very wrong.  Yesterday was good though.
