Thrive

Some words seem to me to be like the word of the day.  Today’s word for me was thrive.  I seemed to be seeing it a bit.  I was even imagining it.  I thought I heard it and looked up the words and it said strive and not thrive.  Oh well.
Still I like the word.  I looked up how it is defined and it said, “to grow vigorously, flourish.”
Ok that may be really good for plants but it is good for me too I reckon.  For a plant to thrive when I plant it is more by accident than design,  I think I am getting better.   When I see like burned leaves on a plant I think to myself, that one needs less sun.  Hopefully I intervene in time otherwise I put it down to experience.
I guess it is the same for me.  Some places are not the right place for me.  Just hanging on in the wrong spot could hardly be called thriving.
So it seems to me I should change location and the sooner the better.  I guess though it is not good for plants or for me to be uprooted continuously. For sure if I am in the wrong spot I should be uprooted. The last thing I want is stubbornness to keep me in the wrong spot. I do not think it is likely to happen though as I am a great one for “oh well” and moving on.
I also do not want to be in the wrong spot and only survive as I am having all these things added all the time.  Like a plant in the wrong spot that survive because it is having all these things added all the time.  Like fertilizer and growth substances.
It seems to me I grow and thrive in the right spot.  I reckon all plants and people need looking after when young but there comes a time where things change.  This to me is proof that a plant or me is in the right spot.  Once over the baby or looking after stage a plant flourishes on its own.
The planet is full of trees.  To me they got over the baby stage and reached a stage where they could make it on their own.  That is not to say additives do no good.  I know I like a treat occasionally but my life is not dependent on treats.
They say, “bloom where you are planted.”  I reckon that is good advice for me.  I want to thrive.  I want to flourish.  I want to be in the right place at the right time.
