Thresh

Today’s dictionary word is incredibly random to me.  Thresh as in beat out or separate grain or to go over in search of a solution.  Really the going over something to find a solution I can relate to.  Threshing out the grain must still happen, but I imagine it as a history channel thing.
Actually thinking about it threshing is something I feel I am doing more and more off.  Once upon a time what I read or heard was default believable, now it is a toss of the coin.  Less and less am I inclined to believe what I hear, as there seems to be so many agendas’ being pushed and truth is the first casualty.
I really think advertisers have their work cut out for them these days.  I have heard of compassion fatigue, but I reckon there is also an advertising fatigue.  Companies say how good their product is, but the user does not matter as much as selling units.  It seems to me why let the truth get in the way of a good story.
I used to listen to sales reps. carefully when I was at work.  If they rubbished the opposition, they would lose points with me, as I felt pay them enough and they would be working for the opposition tomorrow.
Threshing as in seeking out a solution is very up to the moment though.  I have a building problem I am endeavouring to solve right now.  The solution is not obvious and I think it will take mulling over and getting the thoughts of others to come up with a workable solution.  Still, my problem.
Threshing something over and finding a solution does feel good though.  And it seems to be true the harder it is the more satisfying finding a solution is.  It is no doubt frustrating when in the dark but as was Eddison’s literal experience light bulb moments are great.
Anyway thankfully I am in the habit of checking something out before declaring it.  It is important to me something I say is verifiable.  I am in the habit of threshing out the truth of a matter.
