​Things to do
Today is the day we celebrate Thanksgiving.  There was some rearranging to do but not heaps.  We so look forward to everyone coming over.  We basically do it now as our Christmas get together with members of the family.  That is because on Christmas day it is so hard to get together with everyone, so we do this a month early and arrange a time when the most family can be together in one place at one time.  Make a day of it rather than rushing to different places.
This getting older though is not what it is cracked up to be.  Friday morning I mowed elsewhere and Merril took green waste to the dump from here.  We were both in the sun, covered and drinking heaps of water.  But it definitely took it out of us both.
Then we cleaned.  We normally do that Saturday morning but we had got an event mixed up so we went ahead and did it late Friday afternoon anyway.  There was construction going on, so we had to rearrange heaps of stuff before we did our normal duty.  Fortunately, someone else helps and they were doing our stuff while we did what we did.  There is normally someone else, but they are out of action for a week.  Anyway. we had allowed two hours and it took two hours and five minutes.
The reason we set a time limit is we were going out to someone’s place and had arranged to be there at six thirty.  We made it on time.  We really appreciated the invite, and the food was delicious.
Normally when I get up, I do a few things and then wash up.  This morning I thought I would do it later as there was hardly anything there.  Just as well really.  The person whose place we had dinner at delivered my mobile.  I did not even know I had left it behind.  Normally I would have known if I had washed up as normal.  I would not know though where I left it though.
Saturday we had set aside to prepare for thanksgiving.  We know what will happen is visitors will come and we will have a great time.  Then they will go, and we will crash.
Monday morning we both go out early and then someone is coming over.  Later we play competition table tennis.  Before that though I reckon there will be sleep time, and perhaps clean up time.  Though clean up time maybe Tuesday before the two events on that day.  We will see.  Wednesday is free.
