Things are Happening

Well yesterday was totally different than planned.  We received some unexpected news, so we cleared the decks, thus enabling us to do what needed to be done at a moments notice.  We still had thing we planned to do but any of them could have been put to another day if necessary.
There were a few phone calls we needed to make.  We need our gutters cleaned so we rang to get them done.  They are the only people still to set a time for the activity.  We know the gutters need doing, but one area that really needed it will not be impacted like it was as we have had the cause removed.
We are also looking at converting a room.  We got the plans of the building from the council.  A draftsman is coming out Thursday to see what we would like and tell us if it is possible and potentially draw up the necessary plans.
There are trees we planted (having been told they only get to a certain height) that are now too high by a long way as far as we are concerned.  Someone is coming to give a quote on cutting them back and removing any unwanted growth.
We also have material to get rid of at a council dump.  In dealing with the material ,it did not seem the left hand knew what the right hand was doing.  We were told one thing and went somewhere to comply only to be told by that place they had never heard of what we had been asked to do.  Today promises to be very interesting as we do what we have been told.
It is generally my day off but it seems there is heaps happening.  Yesterday we had our flu shots.  We were told we would feel tired and cold, and they were right on both counts.
Still things are happening and it feels like it has gone up a notch.  It is what we wanted and the waiting of the past is a thing of the past.
