That's Different

It is interesting to me.  I am in a place I am not used to in that things are not going as planned.
For sure the goal remains the same and remains achievable, but it is the process I am finding different in experience to what I expected.  I have no doubt that all will work and probably better than I imagined, but I feel like I am in that in between place right now.  I have avoided what I saw in the movie “the ghost and the darkness” about 2 lions harassing railway builders in Africa (it was based on a true story).  There was a time when one of the lions was trapped and could have been dealt with.  But the guy was using an unproven gun, and it did not work.
I know that in my minds eye often things go perfectly, but when it come time to do it the task turns out to be more difficult than expected, and the result looks something like what I expected - but different.
I googled “when things do not go as expected” and find the advice is good and there are some things I had not done.  I reckon the “stay flexible" is me.  It is basically something I have learned along the way.  I often say, “I don’t care who does something as long as it is done.”  Things often look different to what I expect, but there are many ways to do many things and for sure my way is not the only way.
“Be resilient” is something I do not believe I have trouble with.  As said it is a learning experience.
“Focus on what you can control” seems to me to be good advice.  Anything that is out of my control is by its nature not something I can control.   It seems to me that highlights the importance of planning. Planning to me is looking at all possibilities, and determining the “doability” of something.  It matters not to me if a way is fraught. What matters is the desired outcome is good for all.  If so, and I feel it is my job, I will go for it.
There were other things listed but the one I know I have done is “seek support.”  I never cease to be amazed the difference a different perspective can make.  I actually love it.
Growth to me is doing something new.  It matters not if I am nine or ninety or somewhere in between, opportunities exist as long as I am looking for them.
