Stings

I have been asked to deal with a wasps nest.  I am hoping I can put my hands on spray I have for them.  I am hoping it is not like I cannot find it, but when I do not need it is like front and centre.
I got it because there were a couple of big nests on a roller door of mine.  I find their sting quite painful.  Merril discovered a nest in our back yard.  She let me know as she came running towards me in an effort to escape them.
I did not know there were wasps in a bush next to a driveway we were having built.  One of the workers inadvertently discovered it.  He was incredibly calm.  It was dealt with in very much a no fuss manner.  It would not have been like that for me.  Probably more like the painting “the scream.”
I really do not like wasps.  Not that I have anything against them except their sting really.  I am probably more like the Indians in that I tend to apologise when I need to kill stuff.  It’s not like I do it for fun but if they want to get me I will get them.
There are a couple of places in this yard we have stinging ants.  It is hard to imagine them inflicting pain, but these black ones do.  I avoid them if I know they are around.  Ok they feel threatened and bite me.  Fair enough.  I reckon I would do the same.  But there are consequences.  The pain tends to linger from their bites.
But I reckon wasps are worse.  Bees are unpleasant and their sting is to be avoided but I am not allergic to them or anything.
Hornets I have found to have the least painful sting of the lot.  I discovered that when I was visiting a place and the hornets had made a nest under an outdoor chair I had sat on.  They emerged not real happy, and I moved.
Oh well.  Not real big problems really.  But they need dealing with.  Cometh the hour cometh the man. (I am trying to gee myself up here.)
