Still Walking

Many days are just do what you gotta do days.
Yesterday was like that.  One of our rentals needs extensive work.  We have stayed out of the way of the builder while much has been happening. We only looked when we had the chance. It was all on track is but yesterday we had arranged to do some work in the yard.  We also met the builder there and finalized further work to be done.
Actually getting that builder was a Godsend.  Such builders are hard to get right now.  One fella said they were interested but could not do anything for six months.  Our builder was going on holidays but the job he was one went longer than anticipated.  He was only available as he did not want to go in a Northern hemisphere rainy season.  So he stayed and was available.
Anyway we had arranged to see him and to do some work in the yard.  We did both things.  We were happy with what we did.  The builder had told us we could use his skip, so we did.  I was just sorry my blower batteries ran out before I was finished.  I knew I did not have much power left in one as I had been using it, but the other running out was a surprise.  Merril made the area look good by pushing the blowing’s to one side.
We did that for a couple of hours then packed up as we had an appointment to go to.  We went home briefly and got ready for that.  I had a boy shower.  That is, I used deodorant to disguise all I could.  After all I was in my favourite Cowboys shirt, and I did not want to not wear that.
We went to the appointment and caught up with some people and listened to some great live music while having lunch.  When I could, I told the singer how good they sounded and it turned out that was how they made a living.  Singing at a markets.  Just their demeanour told me they were a natural. We then went to get a piece of technology Merril needed.
We went to the Harvey Norman car park sale.  The time we spent there and what we ended up getting I did not expect, but it was all needed.  Merril got what she was after, but it ended up being thrown in for free with the other stuff.
We had agreed we would set up a hall ready for a service Sunday.  It took a few hours but was time well spent.  Merril’s comment was it looked like it was supposed to.
After that we thought we could relax.  Except both Merril and I had things to do.  Those things took us both long enough.  After that, bed time.
The day was a bit like the day before.  I enjoyed everything, but also enjoyed everything being over.
