Steady as she goes

The days have been a bit of a blur of late.
Yesterday we had things to do.  We have found we are really good at devoting a morning to various activities.  After that we are good for lunch and a rest and then to do more stuff later.
That was the way yesterday unfolded.  We were doing a market and someone we knew was doing it also.  So there were five tables of stuff for sale.  Merril and I crammed stuff on our two and our friend had another three tables of stuff.  Everything was $2 or less and all takings went towards the cost of holding a free dinner on Christmas day for anyone who wanted to come.
Merril got the music going and our friend played some songs on his guitar also.  We sold stuff and I got to talk to some of the people that bought stuff.  One guy I found out had been in Burpengary 47 years.  I have never met someone before who had been here that long.  He remembered when so much was dirt roads.
One of the things I liked was I had seen him looking at stuff before, but this was the first time we had chatted.  He and his wife intend coming to the lunch.
So we spent time doing that then packed up and made it like we had ever been there.  That is actually my aim no matter what I do.  My intention is to do what I need to do and hopefully improve things, and leave it like I was never there.
Merril and I went home and had lunch.  Then, as is our custom, we had a rest.
After resting we worked on some benches we are recovering.  Merril cut material and covered the back rest.  It involved measuring and stapling.  I screwed and glued so the seat is now ready to add material to.  We had gotten wood we needed from Bunnings, and were really pleased they had cut it for us.
That was as far as we got before calling it a day.  I do like steady as she goes days.  Nothing earth shattering, but little bits done.
