Steady as she goes

Yesterday was a good day.  Nothing startling but things went well.
The people around the corner were having a garage sale today.  They had told me when I saw them last week.  I went and checked it out.  They are doing heaps of work to get the place ready for sale.  I have heard machines going and today there were two bob cats.  Everyday for the last few they have gotten a new mini skip to put things in.  There was nothing at the garage sale I wanted.
At 9am we were to be at our church where Merril and I have a market on the first Saturday and Wednesday each month.  Some one had said they wanted February set aside for their donations.  Everything is $2 and there are some absolute bargains.
It was special in that we had kept somethings aside in case they were a no show.  We also had some things to add.  They were a no show, but we made $50 in no time at all.  All monies go to our food pantry.  We were pleasantly surprised, and I overheard some talking saying they got real bargains.  It is so what we want in this day and age of the rise in the cost of living.  If we can make others happy and we get something for the running of the food pantry it really is a win for all.
Merril and I had lunch out.  After a sleep Merril got in to sorting stuff that has come from her dad’s and I got into power point and doing things that help me to keep ahead of the game.
I did like getting into the power point.  I am responsible for ads that go up onto a screen. I was able to make some changes designed to make people look twice at things that had been there a while and maybe an immunity to the information had developed.  I know that for me “same ol, same ol” tends not to be regarded after a while.
All in all a good day really, and one I would take any time.
