Steady as she goes

It’s Thursday again.  My day off.  It seems to come around so quick.  Almost weekly. Wait a minute…
So today I thought I would basically loiter. Oh I will do things but in a leisurely fashion.  Yesterday we had our market in the morning, and we made target.  I will admit I was pleasantly surprised.  We are running out of donated items. And as is always the case we take what we do not sell after having it out on both a Wednesday and Saturday to trash and treasure for them to sell or dispose of as they will.
Yesterday we had two people that are customers of the pantry bring donated items for sale.  That sort of thing helps a lot.  One guy had owned a second-hand book shop and had some books for sale or give away (we only sell nonfiction).  Another guy had cds to donate.  Some were best sellers and are a real bargain. Anyway, we made target.
Merril has a presentation she is giving today.  She has been preparing for it for days and will be doing a different one for a few weeks.  It is a part of her study course to do it.  She has some very willing participants who are looking forward to what she has.  Merril is interesting when she talks on a subject, and likes to include some obscure facts that fascinate.
Me, I will be home.  I think I will spend a bit of time on my computer.  I am studying statistics for our area at the moment.  I do find such stuff interesting and am glad there are others that do too.
Apart from computer work there are a few things areas I want to give a light tidy up to.
We are billeting someone from this weekend for a month. The major preparation work will happen tomorrow when both Merril and I will be into it. 
So as is my custom I will concern myself with that tomorrow.  I really do like to let the planned days activities be dealt with on the day.  I see no point in worrying about tomorrow before it arrives.  Certainly, I like to be prepared, but to me concerning myself unnecessarily about something before the time is a waste of energy.
So today is planned to be laid back.  Plans are one thing.  Events are another.  I will see what happens.
