Sorting

Busy day.  We are doing a cull.  It is time and our church is having a jumble sale in a few weeks so we thought we would look at what needs to go.  Good stuff but not being used and not likely to be used.
Especially as we are getting older.  Once upon a time was keep it in case it is going to be used.  But I guess if it has not been used in forty years it will not be used. 
I did have a mowing appointment but I must confess I was not disappointed that all the rain made it a no can do thing.  In one way it was just as well though.  I arrived home and had no sooner called it off when someone arrived to pick up something Merril had sold on Gumtree.  It is not often a person gets more than they asked but the person buying the items declared they were worth more than was asked and paid more.
I had been out in the morning visiting a friend and as usual it was an enjoyable time.  Sitting having a chat was very different to how the rest of the day was.  Not only are we having a cull we are also rearranging the home.  The trouble was to do this we needed to rearrange that but to rearrange that we needed to rearrange something else. The upshot is the studio (what we call our third shed) now has a desk removed and the exercise equipment in it.
A good thing about Merril selling what she sold meant we had room again for our trikes where they were initially stored.  Of course that meant tidying up that area.  I did see one jinormous spider.  When they are in what we consider is their area we just move them along rather than killing them.  He was quite willing to move on but not before running straight at me.  I did move fairly fast at that point
We did have a bit of a rest after lunch but we knew plenty awaited us.  Tis afternoon was packing the cars with things to take for the jumble sale.  We know it is going to take a few more trips but that allowed us to clear the way for more stuff.
Some days are just doing things.  Nothing transpires that would be worth writing home about but it is incredibly satisfying.  We have a ways to go but it was a good start.
