Something Fishy

It is weird how days turn out.  Yesterday ended up being unexpectedly laid back.
Laid back is not a word I normally associate with the get together I have here once a month.  I do lots of stuff in preparation.  I do not mind as it is what needs to be done, but I must admit I am always glad when 8.30 arrives and it is over.
There is purchasing the food stuffs, organizing a speaker, or preparing if I am it, getting the room ready, ensuring the cook is available, sending out invites and other thing I am sure I have not mentioned.  One thing I did this time I had not done before was purchased less food stuffs.  I did that and there was still plenty, so I think that is a good template.
There ended up being 10 of us and I thought it went incredibly well.  But as usual I was glad when it was over.
But being so relaxed about it was the first thing that was unusual about the day.  The next was we had no more commitments for the day.  I did a few things on the computer and then went and had a sleep. 
I did feel I needed that as something totally unrelated occurred to me at 3am when I was having trouble sleeping.  I reckon by 9am I needed more rest.
After that we decided our fish needed a heater.  I had seen some in our local k-mart so we wandered down to get one.  I could not believe how busy it was.  No doubt it was a Mothers Day thing but I was not expecting so many people about.
No doubt it was more weather related but all the heaters I had seen had sold.  Merril mentioned the k-mart at Morayfield so we wandered up there.  Again the place was packed.  The line up to purchase things was probably 50 or more long.  Still we found the fish area and there was one heater left which we purchased.
Trouble was when we set it up the tank was too crowded.  I had another bigger tank which we decided was a goer.  That meant a change over.  The new tank was only about 20 ltrs as opposed to the 10 or so but it seems incredibly spacious.
So I washed up (stuff from our get together.  I enjoy doing it as I listen to music at the same time) and we set up the new tank.
All went well.  I do pray for the fish as shifting tanks can be traumatic and things can go wrong.
Thankfully that did not happen and this morning the fish looks happy and I for one cannot believe the room he has.
