Silly

Looking silly comes naturally to me.  I do not need to work at it, practice it, or spend three years getting a “Silly” degree.  I’m just a natural.
Merril and I had bus to catch.  We arrived early to catch it.  While waiting a car was there to collect some other people and their things.  We noticed that the left-hand side mirror was tucked in hard against the door.  All the driver would have seen though it is his side door really close up.
Merril said to me “you better tell him.”  There was a degree of urgency in her voice.  So I obeyed she who must be obeyed.  I told the fellow about his side mirror.  He thanked me very politely but did not do what I and Merril need to do, and that is physically correct it.
When he was leaving, he used one of them new fangled electronic mirror adjustors.  I felt like a total country bumpkin.  All that was lacking was my straw hat, grass to chew on, my flannelette shirt, my overalls that only went to my shins, and my bow legged walk.
Last time I was at Disney Land.  I say last time to give you the impression I travel overseas all the time.  Europe, North America, next week South America and Asia.  Last time was the first time and probably the only time.  But no one knows that unless I tell them.  Which I guess I just did.  Then again being silly comes naturally.
When I was at Disney Land I attended a show in which we were all sitting around at tables like in the Wild West.  A woman was on stage talking and then the place went totally black.  At that point she shone a light in my eyes and asked me to blow her a big kiss.  I sat there frozen.  And traumatised.  Only later did I think maybe I could have hidden someplace.  Eventually I blew her a kiss and the show moved on.  No one would remember it unless someone was telling someone else “remember that guy at Disney Land?”  Well I was that guy.  Yes I remember it.  Vividly.
The U.S. was the first and only time I have seen snow.  It was not falling but was all over the ground.  Of course snow demanded that we have a snow fight.  My target and I were having a good time exchanging fire.  Then they chose to duck behind someone who I would never throw a snowball at.  It was at that moment I released my snowball.  If I was aiming for him I probably would have missed.  But I wasn’t aiming at him and fair dinkum I don’t think that I could have gotten more snow on someone if I tried.  His graciousness did nothing to alleviate my embarrassment.
I visited an Art Gallery in Washington.  I felt all upper class and well to do.  “I’m visiting an art gallery.”  I shot myself in the foot soon enough though.  I saw paintings I had only ever seen in books.  What do I do?  I ask an attendant if these are originals.  Like they were going to grab prints put them in frames and stick them on the walls.  I was assured they were originals but by that time I needed a hole to crawl into.
If silliness did need a degree then I reckon I have enough credit points already.
