Sheds

We have a nick name for Burpengary.  We call it Shedsville.  It seems that to live here you gotta have a shed.  Drive by just about anywhere here and there is a shed.  We are no exception.  We have two sheds, soon to be three.
One shed we have our table tennis table in, spa, big table and exercise equipment.  It is a big shed.  The shed we call mini me is for tools.  Where the other shed is going was an above ground pool spot and then for garden stuff.
Oh and to live in Burengary a person needs to drive a ute or a truck.  Though I do not think that is a hard and fast rule.  I don’t think the 80 year old lady up the road drives a ute.  If someone does not have a ute, a four-wheel drive will suffice.  Ours is an All Wheel Drive and that is deemed close enough.
I went through each of the places in our street. A couple of houses have lanes and I really do not know what they drive, but of all the places visible all drive a ute, truck or four-wheel drive except the 80-year-old lady.
I do like our sheds.  Generally, it can be said “I need a wrench” or “I need some mulch” and we can go straight to it.  Except when it is not there.  In that case we know it is in the “special place” which houses heaps we cannot find.
Using the wrench requires a certain skill set.  I may not have been born with the knowledge, but I know I can grow into being able to use the wrench.
What matters to me is I am willing to listen and learn.  I reckon that is really important when it comes to power tools with a blade.  I really appreciate our next-door neighbour.  He works in an industry where health and safety really matters.  He says he has seen too many accidents for it to be any other way.  He showed me a scar he has that was his skirt with not giving a matter due regard.
When I want garden stuff I do not go to the tool shed.  I know it is not there.  I go to the garden stuff place (soon to be a shed).  When I need a tool the tool shed is the first place I look.  I reckon if I were a builder the tool shed would be my favourite shed, and if I were a landscaper the garden stuff place would be favourite.  Horse for courses.
If I will not listen, it is on my back.  Hear and I grow.  Not hear and I do myself and no -one else any good.  If I am willing to listen, then I trust I will hear what is appropriate at the appropriate time.  It is a self-interest thing.  My being good at my job meets my needs and that of others if I am being paid for it.
In the meantime, I am going to enjoy using the wrench, and down the track it may look like I am an experienced wrench user.
