Shed Time Story

It’s hard.  Getting back to sleep when you know that what you are considering could change life as we know it.  It had the potential to impact thousands, nay millions, yea verily, billions of people.  Well maybe the yeah verily was poetic licence, but it could affect lots of people.
Friends that had been estranged for years could shake hands and make up.  Total strangers could embrace.  Groups of people could cry for joy.  Highly unlikely.  But could happen.
The impact really is not that big, and only effects all of mankind covering multiple generations.
The initial thought had to do with how I was raised.  I know my parents and parents the world over, have meant well.  However, it is a new day.  A new beginning.  The thought I had must have come from the depth of my sub-conscience.  It had to do with bed-time stories.  I know now I never needed a bed-time story.  I needed a shed-time story.
A shed helps parents all over the world bond with their children.  Especially if colour bond is used.  A shed-time story is basically the same as a bed-time story.  The only difference is the name really.
It boggles my mind how that name has come up when we have a new shed.  The coincidence is amazing.
I really had to test it.  After all, if I was going to promote the need for a shed-time story I had to know it worked.  I thought if I tell myself a shed-time story and fall asleep that would be a good sign.  Ok I could not tip toe away, but I would be satisfied.
Once upon a time in the land of Moreton Bay there lived a couple.  Actually, there lived a lot more people, but the story is about this couple.  Their names were Merril and Peter (any resemblance to persons living or dead is purely co-incidental and shows only a total lack of imagination.)
The couple lived in the village of Burpengary.  Burpengary was a funny name.  It meant “the place of the green wattle.”  Why people said Burpengary rather than state they came from “the place of the green wattle” has nothing to do with this story and it would be a total waste of time to pursue that line of enquiry.
One day Merril and Peter decided to have dinner.  (I know it is not good to have the excitement introduced to early, but I really want to know what happens.)
“What’s for dinner?” said Peter.
“What would you like?” said Merril.
What have we got?” said Peter.
I am sure it was something scrumptious, but believe it or not I fell asleep at that point.  I can only think my tiredness over-rode my excitement.  Going to the shed was a next day thing.   It was going to tie in, but too much excitement too early would keep someone awake rather than send them to sleep.
So it works.  A shed -time story helps.
