Second Wind

Yesterday was weird.  Seemingly out of the blue. (well blue if you are a NSW supported.  It was out of rh Maroon)
Turned out we had nothing planned.  Those sort of days are few and far between.  It meant we had no obligation to be at any place.  We enjoy what we do and we enjoy our days off.  Yesterday was one of them.
I did things in preparation for the days ahead.  But I did them in my own time.  When I wanted a sleep I had one.  When I wanted to work on power point slides I did so.  When I wanted to watch some tv the same.  Merril did the same except the power point.  She prepared other stuff she was doing.
We had other tasks around the house we thought of doing but did not give a lot of time to them.  Merril did spend time preparing to eat and I did spend time washing up.  But apart from that not a lot was achieved in the house and we were happy with how things turned out.
As I am fond of saying everyone needs time out.  Yesterday was a time out day.  For lunch we went to a local cafe and bought something to help.
We tend to base certain activities on school terms.  This is the first time we have done such things but I admit I like it.  For sure some things just continue but other things we have a break from.  Only for a couple of weeks but it is refreshing.
Today we are back into what needs to be done.
One thing that is ongoing is feeding the birds.  The crow that seems to see our place as his has flown in and reminded me it is feeding time.  I actually do not begrudge him that as he deals with our left overs that have turned and we cannot eat but definitely not too old for birds to consume.
It is early and cooled right down.  I’m ready to go.  Time to feed the birds.
