Reproduce
I know I need to get a life.  I look after the back of a shop and have spoken to the ladies next door and look after their area too.  It is mostly just removing rubbish and doing some cutting back.  Merril and I got some chairs so others could have a break there if wanted. (great in winter, but hot in summer)
While sitting there I looked at the area two places up.  There is a dividing fence, and it says guard dog, but we have never seen a guard dog.  That place looked messy.  Dead palm fronds hang down, and stuff is on the ground.  I do not mind what people choose to do.  It was obvious it is a place not regularly visited.  That really is neither here nor there, but I did learn something from it.
As is so often the case it got me thinking.  I was reminded how I can make the front of my shop all attractive, but it is a façade only.  How I keep the back tells the story.  If I keep the back of my place well, then there is a good chance it is an all of life thing.
I do not want to be one whose life appears all pretty but the back tells a different story (the words pretty and Peter Kuskie do not seem to go together for a number of reasons)  Anyway, the point for me was it is really all or nothing.  I appreciate that shops need to look attractive otherwise people will avoid the place.  But when it comes to me, I do not want my looks to be deceptive.  For me I want it to be a case of what you see is what you get.
After that I started considering how like produces like.  A dove has a dove baby.  It does not produce a crocodile baby.  It is not a case of “wonder what will come out this time.”  I reckon it is a bit like that with me (not having babies from a shell and all).  But what I am I reproduce.  If I am a wild character, then without some sort of intervention I will produce a wild character.  If I am orderly there is a good chance I will produce an orderly character.
Here I am not talking about kids but offspring of a different kind.  Character offspring.  It goes for me and everyone I have met.  I am known by what I produce.  Good qualities produce good qualities and bad bad.  It is impossible for something bad to produce something good.
Anyway, it is the way I think.  I talk to myself all the time.  You will be glad to know it is not an out loud thing, but an internal dialogue.
