Replacement

Someone said something recently I adhere to.  It was put differently and that is why I think it got my attention.  It was something like “your life is not so much what you say but the decisions you make.”
That differs from it is not so much what you say but what you do but it has been my experience.  That does not exclude saying things that may seem impossible at the moment.  To me it just means doing another thing that I adhere to.
It probably has many fancy names, but I call it “replacement theory.”  That is if I really want something I am willing to exclude other things that may get in the way of what I am holding to.
I am finding this big time.  I see it like a country surrounded by other countries.  It may be I want to deal with what I see as one area but I am finding there are many other things being dealt with in order to make the assault on the main target more possible.
Maybe I like a fight.  Somethings are not easy, but they are worth it.  As they say if things were easy everyone would have them.  But they are not.  There are many things that cost.  Gettig a house costs big time and I know for me I had to be willing to forgo stuff in order to get the house.  But it is a look back on thing now and I know it was worth it.  What was worth a lot cost a lot.
I know I am getting long in the tooth but there are still things I see like that.  I weigh up what I really want and go for it.  There are wins and losses.  Losses can be hard to take but are not a give up thing.
It is not a case of saying I want something and giving up at the first sign of trouble but determining what I want and paying whatever price is necessary to get it.
