Quiet Day

The body just seems to know.  I had a list of minor tasks to do.  I had been thinking that Thursday I would do them.
Yet when Thursday arrived, I thought that I would have the day off.  There were a couple of niggling things I felt may benefit from resting.  Little did I know it was the body saying to me it was break time. 
The way I slept told me the decision was the right one.  I have found that I really cannot sleep if I do not need it.  Yet the day I decided to lay low I slept like I cannot believe.
I did start the day going with Merril as she dropped off the car to have the air conditioning worked on.  As we now have only one car it meant walking home with her.  We decided to have breakfast on the way.  The place we normally go was open, so we had breakfast there.  Merril thanked them for being open.
It was good in that we saw a guy we have had a bit to do with who is moving to NSW soon.  We were really glad to see him, and he said anytime we are down that way not to book accommodation or anything but to stay with them.  We will be sorry to see he and his wife go, but they are getting closer to family and her elderly mother, so it is understandable.
After that we called in on someone who was running a course for the first time in our church premise.  We just wanted to make sure all was as it should be.  All was going well.
It was not far from there to home.  It was around 9am and it was not long before I decided to have a rest.  I could not believe it.  I got up around 12 noon.
Merril had been advised her car was ready for collection.  She got it and we had lunch.  Then I went back to bed and slept till around dinner time.
I could not believe sleeping like I did but decided I must have needed it.  I know I feel better today for it.
