Pretty Good Really

I like my life.  Really I reckon I have heaps to be thankful for.
I am happily married and Merril and I are different but the same.  By different I mean she has in her personality what I need, and I have what she needs.  We compliment each other.  By that I do not mean we are constantly saying “good job”, or “that is great” as a compliment.  Though I must say we are constantly thanking each other for little things.  I totally believe that is important.
What I really like is we may be absorbed in what we are doing but each of us expresses interest in what the other has done.  It is so easy to get self-absorbed.  To act like what I do is all that is being done.  But others are at work doing their thing, and totally absorbed in that.  When it is working on a different part of the same thing it comes together and is made the richer for each part.  When it is an independent thing, it is good to know someone else takes an interest. 
I have heard it said, “people don’t do what is expected, they do what is inspected.”  Ok it is a loose connection but knowing someone else looks at and often benefits from something I or another is doing, motivates me anew to do my best.
I heard on tv yesterday that someone said because of where they were born, they considered themselves privileged.  I sort of feel the same way.  I am in a peaceful, free community.   Much of the world does not experience what I experience.  Rather than complaining what is lacking, I am thankful for what is not lacking.  I will endeavour to assist others who lack basics and what is needed in life, but I acknowledge I have it pretty good really.  
By Merril and I being the same I mean we have a faith that motivates us and is important to us.  On any journey, I love to have someone to share with what I see and experience.  Life for me is the same.
