Preparation

I am always up early.  It just means I normally have several things done when people are getting up.  This is of course if I have things to do.  Even then, I have on occasions done them and returned to get some shut eye. 
Today I want to watch a webinar.  It is out of the US East coast.  1pm in the afternoon there.  4am here.  Just as well it is a webinar.  I do not think I would look as fresh as many of the others.  Still, I am here. 
Later on this morning we are going to collect a new BBQ.  All I can say is I am glad we did what we did.  The other day someone emailed us to say they had containers if we wanted to collect them.  We did.  So we said we would get them and call in on BBQ’s Galore to check on when in January our new BBQ was expected to arrive.  I found out then what I did not want to hear.  The BBQ delivery was now March.
I told them that is too late.  I need it in February.  Merril and I really wanted the one we ordered.  There were others there, but none satisfied us and we were ready to get our deposit back and look elsewhere.  First they phoned around.  Other shops had one.  The upshot is we are headed down to Northlakes today to get one.
I spent some of yesterday pulling apart and cleaning the old BBQ.  Ok it was a boy clean.  In my defense though I think I really had a lot to do.  Anyway it is all pulled apart and moved now so we have the spot ready to receive the new BBQ.
I have watched the webinar.  I think it is about the third time I have done it.  I think in future I will just register which means I will get the video and resources and be able to watch at my leisure.  I have decided I do not necessarily want to be there as it seems a couple of them have been more like a giant ad for a product they were promoting.
Besides I look outside and the day has dawned.  Fortunately, the crow does not appeared to have visited yet.  I had delayed feeding him to a time it was light in both winter and summer.  Trouble was a rogue crow was visiting at that time and beating the crow I wanted to feed to it.  They can be hard to tell apart.  I watch the behaviour these days.  Our crow is friendly and not as skittish.  When I see him, I bring out the food.
Anyway, a new day has dawned.  I have plans, but who knows what the day holds.  If all goes to plan, I do know I will be setting up the new BBQ.  I hope this one will not produce fire on its surface like the last one.  I am an optimist.
