Please Sir Can I Have More?

As indicated before I get a weekly email from a guy called James Clear.  He has quotes on various topics.
The one I received most recently has a quote from a poet called Wislawa Szymborska (I copied and pasted that name as I was not confident of spelling it right, or I could imagine spending ages getting it right).
Initially I wondered what was going to be said when I read “a certain group of people.”  I thought it may be very selective.  The next sentence put paid to that idea.
"Inspiration is not the exclusive privilege of poets or artists. There is, there has been, there will always be a certain group of people whom inspiration visits. It's made up of all those who've consciously chosen their calling and do their job with love and imagination. It may include doctors, teachers, gardeners — I could list a hundred more professions. Their work becomes one continuous adventure as long as they manage to keep discovering new challenges in it. Difficulties and setbacks never quell their curiosity. A swarm of new questions emerges from every problem that they solve. Whatever inspiration is, it's born from a continuous I don't know.” (from The Poet and the World)
It seems to me inspiration is the domain of anyone who has, as the quote says, “consciously chosen their calling and do their job with love and imagination.” There are professions listed, and as said many more could be.
I can only go by my experience.  I was in finance.  Not an accountant but keeping an eye where we were at.  Keeping our figures and attempting to determine trends.
I loved my job.  For some that would be incomprehensible.  How can anyone love working with figures.  Goodness knows how but I did.  I thought a lot about doing that job the best way possible.  I was in the job a long time but it definitely was not one year 20 times as it was constantly changing.  It kept my interest.
I wanted to learn what I could.  Even now I let someone tell me about a  job even if I think I know it.  The reason is, they may have some snippet that I did not know.  Something that could radically change the way I go about things.
It is as said, coming from “I don’t know.”  I find a dangerous position to be is “I know.”  I find being closed dissuades me from gleaning more.  I remember someone saying “I am satisfied with an unsatisfied satisfaction.” I guess I remember it because it sums up how I often feel. I know I have much to learn.  I like where I have been, and where I am going, but I am still hungry for more.
