Pleasant Surprise

I was all planned.  I knew what I was going to do.  I had been making a list of my agenda.  Some things required being in the heat but most saw me doing stuff in air conditioned comfort.
Merril’s dad was coming over around 10am and they were going to look at something they were interested in and I was going to head off and do what was planned.  I was going to meet them both later for lunch.
Then I realized something that changed everything.  I did not have my keys.  I could not drive.  I could not get into where I was going.  I find it interesting how the ramifications of something dawn.  Keys made a big difference.
So change of plans.  Find where my keys last were and arrange to get them.  Turns out they were locked in the building I was headed to and it was to be unoccupied for the day but for me.
So then I had to do some thinking on my feet.  Or maybe I was sitting down.  I do not really remember.  I do know though that I found out people were going to be at that building briefly that morning.  I contacted them and they kindly agreed to liberate my keys.
In the meantime, I needed to make alternative plans.  That part was easy.  I decided to go with Merril and her dad to look at what they were going to see and then have lunch with them.
We drive past where my keys were on the way there.  Low and behold people were there including the ones who were rescuing my keys.  We pulled up and I was immediately given the keys I was after.  But a huge surprise was in store for me.
The people getting my keys had trouble with their car and their daughter had given them a lift.  Turned out, and totally unbeknown to Merril and I, their daughter is the next door neighbour in the house I lived in and now rent out.  The house Stuart lived in.
It does not surprise me she is as nice as she is as her parents are some of my favourite people.  We had a chat.  Then I remembered we were heading to an appointment so we had to go but I am glad things turned out as they did as it meant I met up with people I was really glad to see.
