Peace

Yesterday was weirdness personified.  I say that because early we were out setting up something then I had an xray and a nuclear medicine bone scan.
At first I was given a needle that put in something that highlighted bones.  Over an hour later I went back and a very sophisticated machine was used to take pictures of my bones.  I was impressed with the machinery, and the results will be known mid-week.
The tests were not painful (though I have an aversion to needles) but I found it really hard to stay still for so long while pictures were taken.  I was glad when it was all over.
While waiting for the second part of the test, Merril and I went to Bunnings and got paint and then went and had lunch.  All in all the testing process took a number of hours and used up the better part of the day.
At night we went and got a pizza then set up our Market for today.
I got a James Clear email and the sentence I liked best was “Even when the problem is hard, it doesn't need to harden you.”   I do like that. They say the same sun that hardens the clay melts the snow.”
I do think my response is always my choice.  I am not always as laid back, but I do remember someone doing something stupid in front of me driving on the road when I was at work.  The person I was with marvelled how calm I remained.  I do remember saying to them that that may have been the one silly thing they did that day (of course silly things could have been habitual)  Besides I know I have had my “doh” moments.
The point for me was I don’t know the circumstances, and I was not going to let their actions influence me negatively.  Just like anger seems to multiply when anger manifests itself, I have seen peace multiply when it manifests itself.
I want peace to be the hallmark of my presence even though remaining still during the tests was an enforced peaceful time for me.
