Pattern

Been a weird day today. 
It started with a continuation of what we discovered last evening.  The printer was printing blanks.  We tried heaps but could not get it to work. 
This morning Merril looked up printers and we decided on one we would like.  Turned out only one shop said there was one available at Carseldine.  We had cleaning to do first and then there was something to be dropped off at Morayfield.  We did both then headed to Carseldine.
When we got there we discovered the one available was the one on display.  So we had a look around and made a discovery that is going to save us heaps.  I was a bit miffed that the last printer we bought because it would accept recycled toner.  But they put things in updates that made it only take genuine brand name cartridges.  It meant instead of paying a minimal amount for toner we paid a premium every time.
But there are new printers out and all manufacturers are going this way that make toner differently and a set of toners is just about a third of the price.  So we got a new printer which has a full set of toners in it rather than “a bit.”  It really did feel like a win.  We got it home and set it up.  The set up was fairly straight forward and it is great to be able to print again.
Afterwards was sleep time but I checked emails first and had some things I needed to do.  One of the emails had to do with something I could not do so I wrote away for assistance.  Eventually I had a kip.
After the sleep I had more emails I needed to deal with.  That took a couple of hours and then it was dinner and watch the news time.  We then watched All Creatures Great and Small.  Great way to veg.
At 8pm I realized I had not written anything for today.  I asked Merril what I should write on and she suggested “adventure.”  I feel today was a bit like that.  I did not know what it would hold.  Although having a printer that does not work and other things are not good, I have felt like today bad things turned out for good.
I guess I am easily pleased.  Things may not always work out the way I envisage.   But they do turn out for the best enough for me to know it is not just a precedent but a pattern.
