Out and About

Yesterday was a day of firsts.  Ok maybe I have been for a walk before so it might be better to say yesterday was a day of sevenths.  Or something.
Anyway we now have one vehicle so when it is in for a service we need to think of other ways to get about.  Merril rose early yesterday to submit her car for a service.  She drove it to the place so it could be worked on early and returned early. 
Normally that involves driving the car to the place it is to be serviced and catching a train and walking from Burpengary Station to home.  Except Burpengary Station is closed for upgrading.  So a bus transported Merril to Burpengary Station and as expected she walked home.
It was the next stage that had me walking.  She had something to attend at around 10am.  It meant walking to the church with her goods and chattels.  That was where I went for a walk with her.  It is actually a pleasant walk through parkland.
I pulled behind me what was a first and that was using a trolley we had bought.  We have seen a few people using the type it is and it is really handy for putting stuff into.
Once Merril was where she was going, I walked home again.  Going for walks has not been my thing but it genuinely was good to get out and about like that.
In the afternoon I walked to the church again and set up for a monthly meal we have.  Merril walked to the train station and caught a bus to get the car.  She then drove down and helped me.
After finished we had a couple of hours at home and then went out to a table tennis AGM in the evening.
A good day all around.  Good.  Different.
