Ordinary Days

Fairly quiet day today.  I started it in the usual way and then Merril and I spent time together.  We discussed a few things and then went to clean a place we go most Saturdays (we did not go last Saturday as it was raining cats and dogs)
We did what we normally do but there was a bonus.  There had been a do at the joint a few days before and there was cake.  So we made sure we stopped for coffee and cake.   We managed to have a chat with a few friends to.  If one has to work that is the way to go I reckon.
Someone had contacted Merril to say they were coming ar 2.30 to look at something she had put on market place.  My eyes were heavy by this time so I had a kip then did my usual practice of sitting outside with the computer. I look at the news, Facebook, send emails and do anything else I have to do.
I am a bit unsure of this though.  I went yesterday to the doctors to check on the cancers that had been cut out and to change the dressing.  That is all well and good I reckon but I was told to try not get the dressing wet.  Normally time not showering is like bonus or a holiday but right now it is so humid even I know I need a shower.
I have done this before but not with the success I would have liked.  I had a cut on my wrist and it got a little wet.  The doctor said I should use two rubber bands on a glove as water gets in via hair.  I had not even thought of that.  So two rubber bands it will be tonight.  Then there is the one on my knee.  Merril suggested glad wrap, so I am going to give that a go.
The person did not buy the item we had for sale.  They sited that it did not have enough room underneath for them and that it did not rock enough (it was a rocking horse).  Obviously not what she was looking for.  Value for money for the right person though.
There is stuff we both want to do tonight but before we do we will have dinner.  Normally we have gone out for lunch on this day but we did not today so tonight we will buy our dinner.
Really just an ordinary day in an ordinary life.  But every now and then the extraordinary happens.  Today was not one of those days.
