One Foot After Another

I am fond of saying that life is 90% perspiration and 10% inspiration.  Right now, I feel like I am in a perspiration stage.  That is not to say there are no light bulb moments and I am thankful for those, but mostly it is like one foot after another.
I did heaps on Thursday around the garden.  The person who lives across the street wandered over and commented “are you clearing that garden?”  The observation was right.  It had just gone wild.  It looked contained and good when first planted but it thrived, and one plant became two then four then eight.  The time had come to intervene.  I had probably made the rookies mistake of planting plants too close together.  Anyway, I know more the look we want.
It was good in that we found out who had done some whipper snipping at our place.  The driveway edges were as good as they had ever been.  It had been him.  He told me he had a whipper snipper that was sheer power.  It is battery operated running on 56 volts.
The work in the yard sort of worked in with our thinking at the moment.  We are determined to get stuff under control, so it will be a maintenance thing.  Inside we are trying to downsize.
I sold my car on the Thursday.  It has been a great car, but I was driving it so little.  We had gone back to one car and then my bro passed away.  I inherited the car he drove.  It was easy to remember the number plate as my father’s name was George and the number plate ended in MRG like Mr George.
I had intended to continue working around the yard on Friday, but I woke up feeling cactus.  I think it is a combination of age and my condition.  Anyway, I felt better as the day progressed but I determined I would treat it as a rest day and give myself time to recover.
That happened and now it is Saturday and I am raring to go.  We run a Market today and then do cleaning later.  Compared with what has been, that will not be hard work.
