On the Move

This has been an interesting week.  Merril and I have probably done more away from the house than normal, but we have also been working around the house as well.  We are both pleased with what has been achieved.
One of the things I did this week was put up a shed elsewhere.  I am so glad the guy in charge knew what he was doing and is a perfectionist.  The shed looks good.
One of the most interesting things was watching stuff we put on the verge as “give aways.”  At first nothing moved, and we thought we would need to take a trip to the treasure market and drop it off.  Then the most unexpected stuff went.  We had thought that if anything goes that would not.  Then several days later the rest of the stuff went.  We were amazed.  I brought in my “give away” sign as there was only bare grass and I did not want anyone thinking that they were to dig it up.
Merril was working inside.  I was working a bit on the outside.  I changed up where I sit and type and started using another area for reading.
It has been this that has impacted me the most.  I have a very different perspective of the yard than I did.  I am thinking about things I can do looking at the yard from that perspective.
The view is way different.  I can see the birds go into the Mulberry tree of the neighbours on a diagonal to us.  I think if I were a bird, I would head for that tree to.  The mulberries are going from red to black and make for tasty morsels.
I appreciate sitting where I have been.  I have enjoyed it up to now - and continue to do so, but this signifies change.  It is not change for changes sake. (I am not keen on that - as they say “change is inevitable – except from a vending machine.”)  In my opinion enough changes without me making unnecessary ones.
But this one has been good.  It is time to move on.  Maybe not in location but in perspective.  I am one to explore my surroundings thoroughly.  I may not be moving on on the outside, but I am moving on on the inside.
