Nothing Planned

Merril and I are on holidays.  I feel like I am living the high life.  I guess I am being on the 7th floor and all.
Ok the 7th floor is not as high as it can get.  That would be like the 20th floor, but this is a fairly unique experience for me.  We used to go north to the Sunshine Coast.  The unit was on the third floor.  We did that for a few years, and I enjoyed it.  What I did not enjoy though is there was no lift, and we would cart our stuff up to the third floor.  It was the one part of the trip I was always glad was over.
In this complex on the northern end of the Gold Coast there is a lift.  All we asked for was a water view.  Oh and a tv in the bedroom.
We brought some books and intend spending most of our time veging between walks and trips around the place. We are also going to a concert we booked into.  I am hoping to hear some good loud music.  The last concert I went to was probably more than 10 years ago.  I did enjoy it.  We saw a guy called David Crowder and another band.  We went with a number of friends.
This time just Merril and I have booked in.  It is on the southside of Brisbane.  We hope the predicted storms are not in play.
Still, we are glad today is a “nothing planned” day.  Probably later we will check the place out.  Some things do not change though.  I was up around 4am and Merril was already up.  What has changed though is that after being up a while I went back to bed.  I did wake up with a start wondering what time I had slept to.  Turned out it was only 6am so I got up and am here writing.
We try to have two lots of two weeks a year.  Earlier we went northwest.  This time it is south with the aim of simply veging.  We did bring a portable keyboard recently purchased.  We have checked out its portability and it definitely is fit for purpose.  Whether it is just a furniture piece or is used remains to be seen.
Maybe I do not have an uninterrupted view of the ocean as it is in sight, but I can live with that.
