Nothing Happened

On this spot, nothing happened.
I would sorta like to say that there was this huge enemy attack  and I single handily fought them off.  But that would be lying.  I did some lying, but it was the horizontal kind.  I would also like to be able to say that the planet faced an alien invasion starting at our place.  The way I climbed the roof and dealt with them all means they are not going to visit this planet again.  Basically because I, as a representative of the inhabitants, make this planet too hostile.  I would like to say that.  But even though I would like to say that, it really never happened.
I had a sleep.  I sorta knew it was a sleep, because I was winning my table tennis against way better opposition.  Obviously I was dreaming.
The day started with such promise.  I was up super early and did heaps.  I washed up and cleaned the kitchen, before moving one of our cars.  I posted stuff to sites online, and noted where they had gone.  I typed up things, strategically cut them up, and laminated them.  I talked with Merril.  There was a frenzy of activity.
Merril was Running Spice.  She did what she does.  I am good at looking the part until something actually needs to be done.  At that point I leave it up to others.  She went and came, in the time I was sitting staring meaningfully into the middle distance, and drinking heaps of coffee.
I had told someone I would be at their place soon after 8am.  It would probably sound better if I could say I was already exhausted from doing so much.  Fact is though, I wasn’t exhausted.  Not even close really.
I came home around 10am.  I looked at stuff online and drank coffee.  By this time my eyes were getting heavier.  I didn’t even fight it really.
I did feel tough though, scaring a cat off our property.  It really was just as well for me, he did not confront me, and walk towards me.  I reckon I would have sought refuge being locked away.  Thankfully, it never came to that.
After lunch I succumbed and slept.  It was now heading for 4pm.  I could not take solace in the fact the day was still young, as it was not.  However there were still a number of hours left in the day.  I could still do stuff.
I just needed inspiration.  I was concerned though, that I may just be inspired to do nothing.
