Normal

It seems to me there are very few things like a normal week.
This week is not “normal.”  Tuesday we went to the Sunshine Coast to see my bro.  My car not starting was far from normal.  As was our trip up north.
Wednesday was a fairly normal day in that it was Market day.  I enjoy those.  Setting up the market takes a while, but it is part of what we do.  As I have indicated all proceeds go to a food pantry N3C runs.  It is very much needed.  Items are way less expensive and it seems to me to provide for those doing it tough.  I see on tv places promoted as the cheapest places to get things.  All fruit and veges and free at the Pantry.  I do not think we could get any cheaper than that!
The market we run is of the same ilk.  Nothing over two dollars.  If people are willing to donate goods with proceeds going to the pantry, we sell what we can (max $2) and what is not sold is taken to trash and treasure for them to sell or do with what they will.
It seems to me to meet a couple of needs.  People get absolute bargains, they can donate stuff knowing proceeds will go to a good cause and we all get a chance for a good chat.  Of a Wednesday I meet with someone after the start of the market and Merril runs the show.  Saturday’s we are both on deck and get the chance to sell stuff and chat.
After it is over, we invariably come home for lunch and a rest.  Though every Wednesday we try to have lunch with friends.  We did that yesterday.  Then came home for a rest.
In the evening is a prayer meeting.  We love it.  Several of us gather and the prayers are invariably for the good of situations and others.
Today (a day later) is not typical though.  Christmas is coming.  It is a day for doing something about it.
