No Different

It seems weird to think that at 5.20 or so am I am running late.
I have guys over for breakfast today.  I awoke around the normal time of 4 10 and have been doing a few things but a look at the clock makes me think maybe I have limited time to get done what I need to.
But I am inclined to think that thinking is wrong.  I have been more laid back about it all in recent times and discovered everything happens that should.  Hopefully today will be like that.
It is funny lying in bed hearing the rain on the roof. My feeling is it will dissipate but first light but really anything could happen.
Yesterday started with a lot of running around.  Merril and I left the house early to drop my car into the mechanic.  It is being sold but needed a safety certificate.  We then drove to her dad’s place and dropped back his car and picked up ours.  There was a lot of running around and not much activity.  Yet it all had to be done and was.
I spent a good bit of the rest of the day preparing for today.  I did break the fan though.  I have it going when I am peeling onions.  I turned it off and turned away.  I had it balancing on what I thought was a stable base.  It wasn’t.  I turned away and it came crashing down.  The blades were broken off so it was good only for the scrap heap.  I cut the chord so it could not be used by mistake.
So here I am seeing that light is dawning.  I have noticed it getting light later and later.  Soon all preparation for the bbq will be in the dark.  But not yet.
It is about 5.30 and time I did other preparations for the morning.  I really look forward to it but am always glad too when it is over.  Today is no different.
